This railroad is so far away from me, but it looks scenic and I would love someday to ride the longer run north to the end of CSRR ownership or at least to Fabyan station. Especially if 7470 pulls it. But, seeing that the original route toward Conway is ex-B&M track, I will settle for riding behind B&M 7313 at Steamtown someday, a lot closer to me.

I would suggest the Dry River Campground in Crawford Notch State Park. It's 15 miles West on 302 of the above mentioned Glen Ellis Campground and is just South East of Crawford Notch proper. The railroad is on the mountainside above you, and the scenery is impressive.

Glen Ellis is right by the intersection of routes 302 and 16 and is closer to North Conway. The Dry River Campground/Craword Notch State Park is closer to Fabyan's, the Mount Washington Hotel, the Mt. Washington Cog Railway—a must for any train enthusiast and is in a much more scenic location. Make your reservations early.
