Yes and it will reduce buzzing,but you have to reduce the voltage until the gate just works..

If you have an AC source,just hook up a bridge rectifier ,then add a sting of diodes on the DC out as a voltage dropper. Reduce voltage until the gate just works,then add a bit.

Yes,thats fine. However if you do that the voltage may not be enough for other accessories.

Dale, thanks for your help through your jcstudio page. I've been reading and learning about electronics in general. Your diagrams are finally starting to make sense to me...it took awhile. I've used a few and they have worked great. Thanks again.
