Deisel Shell Standoff issues

Today I was removing the shell from my MTH Harley Davidson F3 to install a BCR, and after taking off the shell, the plastic stand offs were laying on the chassis. Has anyone ever had this issue and if so, what adhesive did you use to reattach them?
