On Saturday, March 16th, 2013 about mid-day CSX Train Q592 (north bound manifest) placed either 15, 17, 20 or 25 cars on the ground depending on which news agencey one talked too. A car or cars were on the ground for at least two miles and managed to make it past one turnout at the south end of Nortonville Siding before overturning at the north end of the same siding. The train was 6600 feet long with 444 axles. Oddly, a Dragging Equipment Detector was about 1000' ahead of the locomotive.

Derailment

 Lead locomotive was an SD-40-2.

The first overturned car.

No injuries or haz-mat although one tank car was an empty molten sulphur car.

A local TV station reported live "...and all of the empty cars were empty..."

The cars "string lined" I think is the proper phrase. (Sorry about having the hood of my truck in the photo but I was trying to "not get in the way")
