I am referring to the engines themselves. Do you feel that the newer Legacy/TMCC engines have less of a problem with ground planes and better signal strength? I have run some older - 5yr old engines - and have some stopping issues, but with some of the newer Legacy or TMCC, this event does not seem to occur. What do you think? thanks

I beleive it all depends on the engine itself. Here are 2 that i have that are (were until ground plane installed) finicky when all others did not have a problem,(including many visitors engines no problems)
vision Genset- N&W Class A. I have 2 of the class As on the layout they both had an issue in the same 3 ft area as with all others did not.Why i have no idea.
I have a large range of TMCC engines from beginning to now.
I have been fortunate and have never experienced the ground plane problem or interference from other equipment. I run tracks above the mainline and have tunnels with several levels. Never even a tiny problem. I chalk it up to luck because I did not do anything special to prevent it.
