Does anyone recognize this passenger platform? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I picked up this little tan and orange passenger platform in a resale shop several years ago. It cost a buck. There is no indication of manufacturer or country of origin. I assume its from a Thomas set or something. Its 16" long by 2 1/2" wide and 6 3/4" high. The red button activates some sort of sound device under the platform, powered by two AA batteries; unfortunately, it does not work.The platform height matches the floor height in the MTH 6200 El cars that I run, so I intend to tone it down and gunk it up to more closely resemble something more prototypical. The ramp ends lead me to believe that it might be British outline.

It is the nearest platform on the immediate left in the second photo.

i agree! I think it will look good, once its toned down a bit. I just wish I knew more about it!

I seem to remember once having one of those. I think it had battery powered sounds? The sounds of a steam engine.

Aha! So the big red thang in the middle of the platform is a button.
