Does Anyone Run their Pre-war trains on their modern 3 rail layout?

I run everything old and new. It's not like it's permanent.

I run my prewar trains on my layout every night. BUT, my layout is marx 034 tubular and 

the only switch I have left on it is a marx prewar. Had several postwar marx 034 and 027.

Prewar trains don't like postwar switches.

    FasTrack and Tin Plate, RealTrax/ScaleTrax and Tin Plate, no switches however with the MTH stuff.

Hennings or Jeff Kane at Train Tender.  Either are great to work with.

When planning a new layout, either at home of in a club, I always vote for one track with no switches. That way any train from any era can be operated.

AGHR Member Dave O'Connor does it all the time. He has some pre-war engines that are outfitted with TMCC and they work great. Relax, no prime condition engines were harmed in the process -- they were originally rust-buckets.

I run my O gauge Lionel Tinplate on the outer loop of my 8x20 layout.  There are two 072 turn outs but they don't have any problems negotiating them.
