The Duckunder layout will be open for visits during the October, 2016 (over a year off) national convention coming to the Triangle area, which prompted a visit today from representatives of the convention to take photos for the brochure. The photographer had a Generay 7100T light with 312 LEDs (1500 lux) which he let me try out. The results, taken mostly at the Duck Island Engine Terminal, are posted here.

Great picture's Will!
Yes Will, great shots!
The grandson is growing up fast and prefers to go fishing. We used to sit and watch your videos together. Now his younger brother comes over once in awhile and watches with me. I'll have to show him these pics.
It's great to have you sharing again!
Thanks for sharing Will, Great photos, outstanding attention to detail. Wish I was close enough to visit in person, but the terminal photos are an inspiration to keep working on the layout. Again, thanks. Chris
Looking great!
Will, you always seem to take great pictures no matter what equipment you use, of course these are no different! Always glad when you post.
Thank you all very much for your kind remarks. My layout is always open to visitors, so if you find yourself headed to Raleigh, please let me know at will@allenheuer.com or call me at 919-349-6566 to coordinate.
Thank you again,
Will,
Great photos of scenes which must have taken many hours to create, thank you for sharing.
Who made the Alexander Henry Pullman car?
Thank you,
John
John,
The Alexander Henry is a Golden Gate Depot car.
Yes, the scenes took a long time to be perfected by George Lasley, who is a genius at realizing and extending my designs. George is also a close friend.
Is.That light camera mounted or on its own stand?
That is a great soft lighting effect.
what convention will be there?
Hi, Forest,
Yes, the LED array is mounted on its own tripod, but you can just hold it if you have a spare hand. It's blinding at full level. Here is a photo of it:

Beyond cool, Mr. Allen, every inch of it. You sure know how to play. Congratulations on having such a treasure.
