I have been looking for pics of early flat cars with trailers for the Souther Railway but so far I haven't located anything. I tried the Historical Society but that was a dead end. Would any of you have pics. I especially want to see what their Herald on the trailer was at that time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul
Those all date from the earliest 1960, after the advent of the PS 85’ variety of cars, 40’ vans.. what you want is late 40’s..50’s right? Pre-ICC mandate era short trailers and home built TOFC cars from 53’, or 42’ flats. Chained up with jack stands. I was thinking a close browse through Trains Mag 1948-1957 might have news or some other captioned bnw of what you need. This may be a challenge for sure. I sure don’t have any that I know of.
