Today I worked on a custom paint job.   The subject is a protocraft autoboxcar for erie.   I had previously stripped the clearcoat, washed and dryed it.   The paint is tru color erie, floquil grimes black for ends and roof seams.    Underbody is coats of brown from pbl with the grimey black accenting the metal.    I will touch up with floquil rust last.

Rob,

I really like their paints; however I find the pasche shoots best at 50lbs of pressure and my badger at 25lbs...   I am very pleased with the Erie model; I will be doing a Buffalo Creek car soon; also shooting a NYC express car [ex troop sleeper].    The NYC car will be a most challenging paint scheme due to taping off for the white paint stripes.    No, I am not intending to use a white decal stripe.
