The imminent loss of Weaver led me to wonder about other hobby manufacturers that have vanished.  I can think of a list:

K-Line, and Williams, of course, but what has happened to Keil Line...did anybody pick that up like they did the mfr. of parts from Mass. (can't think of the name or quickly find a package)?  Keil Line made many of the parts that had been included in old Walthers kits, and later All-Nation, and nobody picked up All-Nation (lucky I have several of those old Waltheres kits).  There was a shaped wood maker (O scale car roofs, siding, etc.) on the east coast, I think, that got out of the business. Crown, and a Colorado-based plastic car kit maker, others I can't think of......?

Colorado harailer.

Please contact Intergrated Signals System. Tim, was talking to them. But it I don't know if anything ever materialized out of it.

Tim, doesn't subscrides to the forum. You will have to e-mail him on his web-site.

I think he was only looking take over the Signals portion that was left over not anything else.....

Good Luck, John

Pride Lines, McCoy and Rich Art as well as Walthers O scale Cornerstone building kits, Industrial Rail blue box cars, Keystone O scale craftsman kits, Bowser O Scale (ex Pittman) trolleys, Western Hobbycraft Trolleys and Model Power buildings and figures have all ended in the last 10 years or so and should be added to the fallen flags list.

Crown was the source of some of the first Weaver body molds. The woodside reefer and outside braced boxcar for sure, and I forget what else. I think the steel 1930's boxcar might also have been a Crown mold. If you look at the chassis of any 40' Weaver car made from an older mold, you will see the letters CMP - they never removed them from the mold. Crown cars are essentially identical to Weaver, and if you don't have the box you really don't know which is which.

Is anybody looking for that Mighty Casey Remco?...I have some that I won't do anything with, and there was a guy at York with a card wanting it, but he wanted it deliveredto York, which wasn't convenient.

Is Industrial Rail a fallen flag?...I am kitbashing something of theirs right now.  I

thought they were still operating.

Yes, Berkshire Valley, but they have been picked up, as I heard.

If you check Model Railroader and Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette, their new

products sections have plenty of that...most for HO and N...in this scale it is who is

closing.

They are fallen as a separate entity.

Atlas-O picked up some of their line, I believe to appeal to the lower end less scale focused items.  The "new products" section of the Atlas-O Industrial Rail offerings has a last post of over 5 years ago, I don't follow Atlas-O enough to know if it's still actively offering product or if it's sort of stagnant.

Well, bad news.  With the Bowser trolley gone as a source for powered trucks, and

now Industrial Rail, which were much quieter and smoother, what else is there?  I

looked at that Atlas Industrial Rail list (Thanks!) and saw the 4-4-2, but it is on

high drivers, but I haven't seen any of those for a while.  I tried to get one or more

of those ETS driver sets that someone on here sent me to, but the guy did not respond

after I stated what I wanted.  Guess I will have to check them in the Orange Hall next

York.

As mentioned in this thread, the CEO of ETS passed away about 1 1/2 months ago.  I do not believe any announcements have been made regarding the future of the company.  So you may or may not be able to visit with them in the Orange hall next York.

Don't forget that Bowser also made o-gauge roadrailers.  But they sold the tooling to Weaver and now they will be gone.
