Have a Union Pacific LEGACY LionMaster Challenger 4-6-6-4 Steam Locomotive #3977 (Greyhound) that smokes great at idle but quits when running. Found this thread, and wondered if the problem could be the same for the greyhound. Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

The big question is, why is this in the LionChief forum section? 
Can you hear the fan pulsing as it runs? Is the smoke unit getting hot and just not have a running fan?
Where should this post be? 
This is a customer question and I have not seen the engine run, only what was reported as the symptoms. Just trying to get a step ahead when they do bring the engine in.
May be the best option is to send it to our Lionel Tech for warranty repair.

Cheryl, this is the Lionel LionChief section. The Legacy LionMaster questions would logically be placed in the Lionel TMCC and LEGACY sub-forum. What you're describing suggests it's a problem with the electronics of the locomotive.
