Finally got one

Enjoy it Rick! I'm still waiting for my "finally got one" locomotive to be reissued with legacy. In the meantime I've got a shelf full of loaded passenger cars with no head end power.

There's something about the UP livery that looks great on diesel-electric's; especially, ACe's!

Great horn in this lad, too. Right now, I've got it paired with another 3.0 unit, a MTH Premier UP SD50. Nice combo!

BTW, I'm liking 3.0.

I can take pictures of it, but I am unable to post them, here. My computer's security will not allow the necessary breach, in my computers firewall. It views any type of breach, as a possible threat.

BTW, my fellow Rick's, this new ACe has that deep rich grey to compliment the armor yellow. Sometimes, the grey is a bit lighter looking; it is on my SD50.

I forgot to ask - what is the "finally got one" you're still waiting for?

 Not very original, however, I'm sure you already know. I've been campaigning for one of these for some time. I backed out on the VL hudson, fantastic sound and effects but even though I don't consider myself a "rivet counter" at this point the dated tooling ( for me ) leaves more  to be desired.

Im hoping Lionel will reissue one of these well done J3a hudsons, these IMO would have justified the high price tag had they been used in place of the 700e.

Lionel has been "legacying" most of the other steamers that were offered during the same time (early 2000's) so I'm hoping.....maybe one day....of course if that happens the grey vl hudsons may stay on the shelves indefinitely.

This is the only loco I "need", this would complete my roster.

Once you've tasted the good stuff, it's hard to go back...

Unless you're into toyish nostalgia, as close to the real thing as possible seems like the obvious choice.
