Frank Ellison's Bumblebee now serving Delta Lines again

I always love your vintage finds Carey.  It is interesting to see an early Walther's doodlebug.  I have the kit that came out in the 50's and was in the Walthers catalog until sometime around 1985 when they discontinued all the great wood and metal kits.  One day I'll get around to building it.  I've been saying that for the last 15 years at least.

Carey,  Do you run bot 2 rail and outside 3rd rail?    Do you have an easy switchover capability?

Carey, as Peter says, that really is special. I have it somewhere in the back of my feeble mind that these are the original Raymondale buildings you got from Fred Dole? Have I got that right?

Hello thank you very much for your kind words yes the buildings are mostly original I was fortunate to be able to purchase Fred Dole's collection of Delta lines pieces.

I have two o's scale railroads one with outside third rail that's the Shelf layout with the Delta lines pieces and the center Railroad is two rail that's a 1939 Multiplex modular layout so easy to swing both ways outside third or two rail

Really cool "motor car" there Carey, it's always interesting to me how Ellison captured the essence of pre-war regional carriers and the technology back then.  The Delta Lines "Bumblebee" reminds me of the CGW's "Bluebird," C&NW's "Namakagon" etc.
