Well its Friday already, the weeks are going fast for sure. It must be near fall as our daytime temperatures SOMETIMES go below 100 deg . Here is my front end for today, the Lionel 256.
The 256 was just about the largest locomotive Lionel produced in the pre-war period. It was the only dual motor locomotive produced until the early post war period with the NYC/Santa Fe F-3 units. Offered 1924-1930. 0-4-4-0 B&M Hoosac Tunnel type.
Here she is with her train of 710 Pullmans and a 712 observation. Orange car with maroon doors date this consist to 1928-1929
Best Wishes, hope your weekend is great.

So true! As a subway fan, I’d have no problem riding the 7 to the stadium after dropping close to a grand for 2 tickets to the semis (way more for the finals). However, judging from our most recent trip to the City, I’m almost certain Mrs. Strap would demand that we opt for stadium parking. Ironically, back in the day when we lived in Forest Hills, we used to walk to the old stadium. Good times.

Nothing to be "sorry" for here. The variety of Lionel's PW offerings in the '50's was amazing AND fun! Thanks for sharing!

Have a good Front end Friday a PW Lionel K4 pounding the rails, moves 16 plus cars without a strain.
Today's front end view is Boston & Maine F3 #4227 in the Minuteman paint scheme - model by Sunset/3rd Rail.

Oh yeah, good 'ol Front End Friday... this WAS an NYC model. I re-painted it and re-decaled it for my C&O layout...
Well F.E.F. fans, here are a couple of front end views of one of my favorite switchers, the Marx 1998 Alco S3 from the Rock Island.
Best Wishes
