My son and I annual trip to the Valley. Out of all the tourist railroads I have visited over the years, the Valley railroad is one of the best run. With two operating steam engines and with a third in a few years, it's the only place in New England where you can see standard gauge steam. Here is some videos and pics from today. Wow! They did a great job on the #3025 to make it look like a New Haven locomotive. Nice pics thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting. I usually go there twice a year. Living where I do on Long Island, it's usually a 2.5 hour drive or split up with a ferry trip.

It is definitely worth the trip. A very well run organization.

The boat ride is great too on a nice day. Get a cold Corona and ride on the CT River. NOT BAD!
