My first try at SCARM, not finished their will be lots of tweaking yet to do.  Soon our old layout will be coming down and we get the whole basement.  The outer line is O72 and the inner line is O54.  I plan on adding more sidings.  I was unable to figure out how to add elevation.  You can see what end goes through the tunnels.  The long area should be 28 ft long and the lower L area will be 10 ft long.  I will have access to all sides.  I know some of the areas are not completely hooked up, still figuring out the SCARM.

Thanks, I am trying to figure out adding it so everyone can see it.  It is a double main line, the inner does cross over its self.  I can not add the elevation, I may need to ask the author on that one.  I would like to connect both lines too.   I am going to add another staging line on the outer purple line to the right.  The inner area will be filled in with Nebraska Sand hills, or Mountains and some sidings or a Millhouse turntable on the lower Left side.  This is a fun program, I just need to mess around with it more to understand it.  Thanks for the comments and hope to have some upgrades later.  Nick

Sorry, I thought I posted a reply, but it didn't take for some reason. Anyway, there is an EXPORT command in the File menu. It will save an image as a bmp or jpg. Both are rather sizeable for this one; 84Mb and 1.6Mb, so I resized it to only 53kb using FastStone Imaged Viewer.

Check out the various SCARM tutorials on the Forum.

The height of the track above base level is entered by first clicking on VIEW then selecting Show Track Heights.  Then by clicking on a section of track at either end you can then increase or decrease the height (in inches, for example) by using the roller on your mouse.  Br careful to select just one segment of track. Otherwise the height of other attached segments will be affected. I like to start at the bridge or overpass and then work down to base level.

Here is an example of a layout with grades and crossing tracks.
