Last week I received my Lionel B&O FA-2 Diesel AA set and I also got both the powered and non-powered FB-2 units. Great looking set, and thought you might like to see some pictures ...

Looking great, enjoy them !!!

Very nice.
That is fantastic! I ove an A-B-B-A set, it looks so powerful and symetrical with the two B units. Always preferred that. B&O is just beautiful. Nice.
thank you
Nice set. They look good. Wish Lionel would invest in realistic looking cab figures. I think a waving engineer would be nice (static). They all wave back when going around the Horseshoe Curve.
I always liked the FA, suberb in B&O paint!
Wow,that a great looking set. Thanks for posting.

Wow. These are much better than I expected. That pilot gap is fantastic. Well done Lionel.
Nice,That ABBA is quite impressive.
Great looking set! How do they perform? Thinking of getting a set. Thanks for posting and sharring.
I've only run them a limited amount so far, but they seem to perform just fine. They run smoothly as a multiple unit, and the sounds are great. Really impressive to see all four smoke units working together.
Very nice.
Looks like Lionel closed the gap between this units.
Looking sharp! I have the new Ann Arbor set. Will set it up tomorrow.

These B&O FA's are really sharp. Are they Lionel Legacy engines? Thank you for posting them on the forum for us to see. They are a WOW.
HO, HO, HO, EARLY CHRISTMAS……. ENJOY…..
Yes, these are Legacy Control, and for the record, they certainly look better here than in the Lionel catalog....Wow.
Anyone have pics of the Ann Arbor units?
Thanks, Doug.
I'm assuming that's all new tooling for these?
Very classy lashup.
I was curious if this set should have green marker lights when moving forward? I see them only in red on the B unit.
Thanks
Borderman011,
A B unit would never be in the lead so no green lights.

My apologies I mean on the AA set. Dont know if that makes a difference. I know when I switch direction so does the red marker lights from the first A unit to the second A unit.
Thanks for posting - I should've ordered these. What will you be pulling with them?

Funny how often that happens!
Great looking

First the Berkshires, now the FA-2's? Thank you Lionel for two great engines in time for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. These engines look fantastic, especially in that fancy B&O scheme.
Harold, any pics of your Ann Arbor set?
Thanks, Doug.
Baltimore & Ohio and Alco FAs, two of my favorites.Lionel done an exceptional job.
The front classification lights would off under normal operation. They would be illuminated white if the train was an unscheduled extra and green if a second section was following.
The rear class lights would act as markers and be red only if the locomotive was running without a train, otherwise they would be dark.

Thanks
I believe Lionel "dropped" the bi-color marker lights after the very first offering of legacy diesels.
While not prototypically accurate, I liked the appearance/effect of the marker lights changing green or red according to direction.
Naturally . . . they're Alcos.
B&O is one of the most elegant paint schemes that there is in my opinion. Very nice looking set.

I'd also like to see the Annie FA's. Might be interested in them.

Were the B&O Fa's used for freight or passenger trains? I like these units but the paint looks like a passenger scheme. But I am not an expert on the B&O
