...especially for N&W railfans.  I met a fella at our regional train show in Asheville yesterday named John. He had 4 or 5 tables of O gauge (in a predominately HO show) and we talked awhile. He lives near Charlotte about 2 1/2 hrs away. We exchanged cards and he said "Take a look at my phone number - bet you don't forget it". He was right.

It read  800 611 1218

He was not aware of the Forum so if anyone else is so inclined, give him a call and invite him to join us!

Thanks for this post-

The phone number here hasn't changed in 50 years. The number was my Grandfathers, a train guy. After reading this and thinking about it and checking, I have two very famous trains for a phone number, and never even new about it. The first three digits do not belong to anything great, and couldn't be picked then, but add the forth and "hello" its fastest train on Grandmas favorite roadname. The 4th-7th mean nothing in a group of four. Search it 5th-7th and "hello to you too!"...it's a fast example of one of Grandpas favorite engines. Old school speed dialing? Oh Boy is that cool!

Id list them here, but I get enough solicitors as it is. (Yes Im on the "do not call" list.)

Thanks again!
