Rixter - Trainz has both Bethlehem Steel Ore Car 2 packs on their website. Not as good of pricing as the RMT sale of course, but still a pretty good price in my opinion.

Thanks,

This has been a great sale event and I ordered a Beep, several freight cars and an AEC light tower on January 2nd. Haven't got a shipping notice yet  but hopefully Monday will be the day.

Walter:  I'm looking forward to the Amtrak passenger car delivery! Any estimate for their arrival at RMT ??

Dennis LaGrua...A and B suffix on the Classic 64 Series box-stock-reefer-tank cars denotes while a particular car is same RRname paint scheme as say RMT-964xx, the suffix A or B denotes a different roadnumber as RMT-964xx-A or B. This way you can determine now what roadnumber and then later when/if a car is rerun and roadnumber changed it will then be say RMT964xxC or 964xxD.

Sorry but logistics do not allow deliveries to Trainstock. At the rate the cars are selling during the sale, I would suggest you make an online order ASAP to guarantee receiving the cars you want.

Thanks.

I have purchased over the last few months the following from RMT: 6 ore cars and 4 O-27 passenger cars.  Nice detail.  Pleased with quality of build.  Operate/roll very well.  For the price, it is an exceptional value.

O-27 Passenger Cars: I bought the NYC set.  I replaced an O-27 set from Lionel that were a few years old.  RMT are an inch or so longer, have better lighting, have the black rubber gasket between each car and roll very quietly.

Ore Car:  I have a few Rail King ore cars for comparison.  RMT are about the same dimensions.  For me, not any notable difference in size.  RK weighs a little more.  RMT ore loads vary in color, but so do RKs.  In a consist of RK and RMT ore cars, looks just fine together.

I have bought numerous RMT products (Beeps, Beefs, Boxcars, etc) and thought I had enough willpower to hold off this time around.  I made it most of the week before finally giving in.....those NS passenger cars are going to look great and I always have room for a Christmas Beep, Beer Hoppers, and a Woodside Reefer.

Santa Fe VA...You will not regret the NS passenger car purchase. The lettering detail is accurate and detailed right down to the ATK PV identification # on each car. The NS shop foreman and his crew at Altoona were a great help with the lettering and color match.

And there are only a few sets left of these beautiful cars!

Interested parties might want to confirm availability, since it appears TrainZ is selling those as factory-direct shipments rather than from their own local inventory (according to the website note for those items).  So it's more likely they're forwarding the order to RMT or perhaps a distributor for fulfillment.  Just sayin...

Well, my wife is going to raise h*ll but I just ordered four Peep passenger cars in generic green for my 65th birthday next month. I picked up a N&W Beep diesel on ebay for less than $30 shipped and my son gave it to me for Christmas. It needs some passenger cars behind it, right? My grandchildren call me Rad Dad so I'll find some way to label each car as Rad Dad RR.
To good of a deal to pass up.......thanks, Walter, for making great products available at reasonable prices. Now, how to pay for them...hmmm? Maybe the President will sent out another stimulus check...

you cant beat rmt for the price.   i love the beeps and other loco's they make.  so cool that they are small

I got my order delvered today. I was short one A&P REEFER but there was no note as to what RMT was going to do about it. I'll call them tomorrow to see if they are going to credit my VISA card or if they will send an alternative reefer like the WILSON MEAT, UP, or RAILWAY EXPRESS. If those are out I could go for a LIRR HOPPER or a UP STOCK CAR. I guess with this high volume of sales, we should have listed our substitute list for cars that became OUT OF STOCK before they could fill our orders.

I must say I am very happy with the RMT items that were delivered. It is understandable that they would run out of some items. I'll call them tomorrow. I'm sure they can resolve the issue.

I knew my Christmas BEEP was on the way today, but had almost given up hope since it was past 8pm.  Lo & behold Mr. FedEx rang my doorbell at 8:15!  The BEEP looks beautiful & I plan to put it to work in a few minutes under our still-up Christmas tree!

@Paul Goodness... I believe the RMT/AristoCraft web site uses "real time" ordering... meaning that if it is on the website when you order, it is in stock you should receive it & needn't offer "alternate choices."  (There's no place to.)  A minute after I ordered my BEEP last week, I looked at the website inventory list and the number of Christmas BEEPs immediately fell by one.  Merry Christmas everyone!

My order arrived today and the AEC Beacon Tower. B & M Coal Car set and IGA Reefer went to work on the layout. The items work well and the beacon gives added lighting effects  to the AREA 51 section of my layout.

Since I "de-Christmased" the layout yesterday, Christmas Beep "Rudolph" joined the boxed up Christmas items.

Now if I can only find the  Halloween storage box, the Halloween ore car set and the Halloween depressed flat car set will have some company.

I received today the SF BEEF A-A set today - very nice item overall except that horn is wanting and the weak point of the product.  What do you expect for a low end product.  I'll have to replace that someday.

I purchased the BEEF A-A to save my older son's SF ABA PA set he got recently.  My 3 yr old loves to push around dummy engines and wanted to do so with the PA, so I figured the BEEF would save me some repairs and $$$ overall.

Well he likes the BEEF but he has a BEEF with what he got.  He points to the PB (B Unit) and wants to know where his B unit BEEF is.  Found one on EBay luckily, but not cheap.  $30 more than I paid for the A-A set shipped.

Oh the AEC Rotary beacon is nicely done as well.

Jim

I was a bit disappointed at the "grindy" noise of my new Beep.  Are they all like that?

@ALCo Fan - Tony: You should give your Ruldolph Beep a test run before storing it for a year.  If there is a problem, its best to learn now.  I use this approach with all train purchases, not just from any certain manufactuerer.  I would also be interested to find if your Beep is as grindy & noisy as mine.

Always nice to hear about great customer service stories.  Kudos to RMT for a great follow-up.

Different online shopping cart systems are out there.  When we ultimately selected one for my wife's business, we opted for one that pre-authorizes the buyer's credit card at the time the order is placed (which counts toward the available credit left on the buyer's card for the total amount as ordered).  Then when the items are shipped, the credit card is officially charged for the actual amount -- which may be slightly less than the pre-auth if something is out of stock.  That saves the seller the hassle of needing to issue a credit afterwards.  But not all shopping carts work this way.  Lots of them out there CHARGE the card outright when the order is placed.  As buyers, we need to keep an eye on things, 'cause nobody will manage our affairs as best as we would.
