Great looking ore cars. Refering to the discussion on growling noise - my Beeps and Beefs are pretty quiet - the one that was noisiest for me is the Bang, but as Walter points out, a little lubrication makes a big difference.
I was able to shoe-horn the MRC AC Sounder sound board into the Bang, and created a speaker enclosure. Sounded great outside of the loco. The MRC speaker is too large to go between the trucks (where the fuel tank would be), so it had to go in the loco body. I ended up glueing it to the engine body directly underneath the stack. I drilled out the stack to let more sound out. Unfortunately, volume is OK with the speaker outside of the loco, but enclosed within, its a bit too low. I may look at it later, but the lack of space may discourage me from a 2nd try.
I have 26 of the ore cars, and they also match my K-Line ore cars perfectly. I confess, it's really hard to go wrong with them for $10/ea!
And its really great to have customers like gunrunnerjohn!!!
Thanks to all RMT's customers.

I can't even say how many RMT ore cars I have. You guys would check me in.
Well, I'll be a really appreciated customer now, I just grabbed another 10 Conrail ore cars. Might as well get them while they're priced right.
I think I have enough for a complete ore train now!
Still waiting for my new Beep.I haven't had a Beep since the new and improved versions came out. I have about 5 shells I can swap out for different roads I want to run so I couldn't resist at these prices!
My credit card is cursing Walter!
AndrewLawrence...I am sure you will like those RMT PC Covered Hoppers.
Please tell all your train friends about RMT.
Thanks.

Awwwww... just got an email saying my order was just canceled that they are out of stock! said there were still 3 in stock when i ordered them
o well, guess i was too slow. was excited to add them to my penncentral collection, almost just as excited about the wally figure
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! I keep saying I have enough trains but this sale was more than I could resist. Placed a phone order today for a CNJ Bang switcher, caboose and two boxcars. Had an enjoyable chat with Walter as well. A pleasure to deal with and I'll be keeping my eye out for more products in my road names.
Received my order of the woodside reefers today. I got the IGA, Wilson, and Doggie Dinner. More than pleased! Looking forward to several that haven't been released yet - namely the Armour Star and Nash Mustard.

I had the same experience when RMT announced the first sale. I then tried to ignore the email notices :-) slim chance. My additional LIRR cars came a few weeks ago and my Balantine hoppers are on the way and will look great with the Rheingold hoppers.
Just received our first order. A-A PRR set and matching peeps are very cool. Unfortunately, received another dummy A unit rather than the B unit we ordered. Will contact customer service about that tomorrow. Also 2 light towers and a rotating beacon that work great and larger than expected...very impressed. Being a retired Air Force member, I'm hoping Walter will be getting more USAF road name items in. We've admired the many military layouts displayed on the forum. Will be ordering from RMT again,
Daryl
Just a quick follow-up and thanks to Walter. He called me last night and we have a plan to swap out the extra A unit for the B unit. As others have noted, Walter is an absolute professional and we are very impressed with his personal interest and attention. In our opinion, RMT is a great American-owned company and we'll be repeat customers from now on. Thanks again Walter,
Daryl
I should be getting my LIRR Buddy very soon, but in past orders from and conversations with Walter, I have to agree. He's fantastic to talk to and has long-lasting, well made trains. It's that feel of what every company should be.
I didn't read back through all the threads.... but has anyone noticed the "Dual Hopper RMT Sets" on Ebay for only $79! I had already ordered two sets from Aristo for $63 shipped gosh darn it!
Just received my RMT92633 BEEF F-3 A-A SET ARR ALASKA from RMT and overall I am pleased with the unit. One small "beef" I have is that I did not pay attention to the following line in the diesel description and/or did not interpret it correctly: "BEEF® locomotives will operate on 0-27 track, however larger radius track may be required depending upon various track layout designs." I don't have a large layout and only utilize 0-31 curves. I do have a short "S" or serpentine section that the engine will not navigate without derailing. I also did not realize that the "trucks" on this engine are one long one and not two separate trucks. My problem and I will deal with it.
Also have a question regarding (in the item description) as to what is meant by "...movable roof fan blades". What moves and when? And on the subject of fan blades I see that one blade/vane is missing from one of the roof fans. Not sure it is worth the effort to do an RMA and incur expenses to do anything about it.
When I ordered earlier this week the "B" unit was not listed and now it is, but at the "regular" price of $99.98 while other road name units are "on sale" for $49.99. Wonder if it is a case of supply vs. demand.
I have also placed a 2nd order for some AK ore cars and an AEC tower so I am satisfied with RMT and their products overall. Even got my brother to order a
..movable roof fan blades".
If ya want to see them move you are going to have to pucker up and blow.
OK, thanks for that info. Although I'm having a tough time running around the layout and keeping the fans turning in a prototypical fashion!
septabeep...Currently there is no 2013 Conductors Club available.

will it be on you site when its open again ?
I ordered 4 sets of the NYC ORE cars last night. How can you beat 8 cars delivered for $99.05?? Thanks Walter
Sorry but Who is RTM.
Don't know who RTM is, but RMT is Ready Made Trains at www.readymadetoys.com and Walter is the CEO/President and Chief Cook and Bottle Washer.
Just curious...are the spine cars displayed in the last printed catalog still in the pipeline for future production (as well as the "zip")?
---PCJ
I bought a tank car. Hope these are ok. Thanks for thwe info.
The fit just fine in passenger cars but you will need to cut them in half at the waist for most vehicles.

Santa Fe VA...Only a few sets left on the Seated BEEPeople.
Thanks.

Received my order yesterday with the Christmas Beep and ore cars and depressed flat. I still have the Christmas layout up (minus the tree) and they look great. Only problem is with the "little wally's" (see the 2nd picture) I can't keep them working. They keep leaving the train to play!

Walter....I might go ahead and order a set of them and the other pair of NS streamlined cars. Now if only you offered a service to put the peeps IN the passenger cars before shipment, that would be awesome.
Santa Fe VA...PEEPs are the short madison-style passenger cars. BEEPeople are the standing and seated figures. Sometimes I even get mixed up...BEEPs, BANGs, BUDDYs, ZIPs, BEEFs, BUGs, ZAPs, BEEPeople...but whatever names they are called...they are certainly fun!
Thanks.

Walter, will there be an AEC Bang in 2013? I have an AEC layout in the works and would like to add it to my collection. I really enjoy your other AEC items the Beeps, ore cars, flat cars and rotary tower.
Thanks, Dan
I would like to say thanks to Walter and the guys at RMT for this great sale. I received the 6 cars I ordered yesterday and they look great.
German...With minimum quantities involved for production, more than 2 different roadnumbers per roadname at a time is a concern.
Suggestion would be to remove a digit of a roadnumber, then you can start your own numbering system without duplication. On RMT items, the numbers and letters are not decals but pad printed. Other topics on forum have suggested ways to remove errant numbers without damaging the painted surface underneath.
Thanks.
Walter M. Matuch/RMT
I'm hoping I can remove the last one or two numbers on my ore cars to renumber them with unique numbers. Hopefully, the RMT ore cars will lend themselves to that procedure.
