Received my second order of BEEP people yesterday, Walter, (the first were ordered in late 2012), and am once again impressed with their detail for the price charged. I now have two sets of BEEP sitting figures which I plan to put in my various diecast vehicles and MTH RailKing passenger cars. My BEEP standing figures will be interspersed at key points and buildings of my yuet to be created permanent layout.

My only wishes for BEEP people is that the percentage discount on them would have been as great as the discounts offered on your rolling stock and that the color of clothing among duplicately posed people was different rather than the same.

Also, Walter, is there even a remote possibility that RMT will manufacture additional sets of standing and sitting BEEP people to offer more variety for us modelers?

Finally, Walter, just a suggestion, but since some posters to this sale have lauded your

cars while mentioning that long consists of the same roadname results in duplicate numbers, have you given thought to establishing a niche for RMT by fully decorating your cars but omitting  road numbers on them nd instead offer either a set of matching dry transfer, press on, or decal numbers so every buyer could then number each of their cars the way they'd like them numbered and avoid duplicates?  Would doing that be feasible for RMT? Just a thought and observation, And, Walter.

it would be terrific if RMT would imprint some cars with either the Strasburg Railroad or the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad short lines?

Walter......oops.  My mistake.  Althought that would be quite a feat to get the actual Peeps into the Streamlined cars.

I did go ahead and order the Beep People, a couple of ore cars, and an additional set of NS passenger cars.  Do you have any good suggestions about how to get the roofs off of the streamlined cars to put the people in there?

The PEEPs look interesting. I need some short passenger cars to run with my E6 Pennsy Atlantic. My gut tells me this will look different but still be a good match. I hope so.

I got 1 set Pennsy Peep with the observation and 2 sets of the coach and baggage. That will give me a 6 car consist about 46 inches long. The E6 Atlantic is a fairly small steamer. I don't really have any unique odd ball style cars so this will be something totally different for me.

The RMT SALE has been going on since January 2nd. Items are in VERY short supply.

1. Do not hesitate to order.

2. Do not wait until Monday to order.

3. Website updates immediately when placing an order.

4. Do not tell gunrunnerjohn what you are thinking about ordering.

Any questions...please see item 1 and 4.

Thanks to all that have ordered during this sale..

Walter,

I question your statement about the website updating when placing an order.

My order had 3 of 6 items zeroed out when I received the shipment.  When ordering on your website they all showed to be in stock.

That's what I did (twice)!  Got six of the Christmas cars & they look neat.  Also got six undecorated (2 baggage, 3 coach, & an observation)... going to do something fun with these if I ever get time (maybe something in my favorite road... Grand Trunk).

Hey Walter! Y'know, I look at all the lovely, detailed, compact engines and cars here, and I can't help but hope that You guys could come up with the K-Line Porter rights.  That and those little ore cars would look good in your line up.  You really need a steamer.

That and I have a mad desire to paint some Peeps and a Porter in "Daylight" colors.  Call it the "Miners Lamp . . .:

I believe I was a victum of this the other day. I placed a Sperry Rail RDC in my cart and went back for more. I came back and the RDC was gone! That was the one thing I wanted the most so I just canceled the order in disappointment!

Regarding the cars having the same numbers and you would like them to be different...(the poster who suggested blank spaces and rub on number sheets is on to something)....here is a thought I have used on some MTH passenger cars and engines.

If you can find a fine point marker the same color as the original numbers, which are often black or white, the 3, 6, and 9 original can often be made into the number 8 with a little work. Take paper and pen, write those numbers down, then see how easy it is to turn them into an 8.

I have done this for several items, and no guests have noticed. But, to be honest, I don't think they would have noticed if I had left them all the same number either!

Just a thought you might want to try. Happy railroading. Greg

Received my Christmas Beep today!  Incredibly fast standard shipping. Terrific model (its my first)  Put it on the Christmas layout and away it went, although something very strange is happening with the reverse.  I have two loops, an 027 and an 0 gauge.  On the 027 loop the engine cycles throug forwarded-neutral-reverse flawlessly.  On the 0 gauge loop the the reverse doesn't work.  I've tried the switch, I've reversed the wires to the track, but it only goes forward.  As soon as I move it to the 027 track it goes back the the correct cycling.   Anyone else have this happen?

Does anyone know the exact scale of both RMT's seated BEEPeople figures and also their standing BEEPeople figures? I've searched on their packaging but it's not mentioned. I'm for a specific ratio scale such as 1:43, 1:48, 1:50, etc. Hoipefuly Walt will read this post and supply us with a definitive ratio answer.

Thanks gunrunnerjohn and Walt for your speedy replies to my question about scale of BEEPeople. Walter, I should have bought another set of seated figures so I'd have three instead of two, but unfortunately didn't think theyd sell out so quickly.  Oh well - he who hesitates loses out but hopefully not permanently. Are you planning on restocking them anytime soon? I really like their size.

Just received a set of two Alaska RDC Buddies celebrating 50 years of Alaska statehood. Running as an MU, the lighting is terrific. Plus a new parallel/series switch allows multiple running with older units, which I have. Also, the Alaska set is great as they are numbered 1959 (the year Alaska became a state) and 2009. What a buy for less than $80.00 plus shipping. The least expensive motorized unit I could find in the 2012 L catalog was $82 at a discount dealer - and it is a HANDCAR.

My wallet wishes I hadn't found this sale but what smoking deals.  Anyway, I called about an only one left Pennsy diesel and left a message.  I imagine it is a bit overrun right now. I must admit I had never heard of this product line as I am one of "those guys" with a lot of Lionel in boxes that the bug bit again this past Christmas but the stuff looks great.

oldpaddy...I am sure you (and your son) will be well satisfied with the RMT Beacon.

Happy Birthday to your son.

Thanks.

PS: Note that while all of the RMT LIRR towers are grey/orange...the sequence of colors is different for each LIRR tower. Photos below are actual production samples of actual RMT LIRR towers.

vbkostur...While RMT started making 0-27 or traditional size toy trains, our current product line does feature some items with what can be called o-gauge proportions such as the ore cars.

In addition, the BEEF A-A + B diesels are fully o-scale but shorter. Check out the RMT.V. youtube video on them at...

https://www.youtube.com/user/R...eTrains?feature=mhee

It explains the size difference. The PEEP passenger cars fit that same category too.

Also, all RMT products, including the 0-27 traditional items, are painted and decorated with the same level of detailing that one would find on a higher priced 0 scale item.

The below photo is of an RMT 0-27 Series 64 Woodside Reefer car.

ogaugeguy...Just as information, the Aristocraft Trains Forum is only about Aristo-Craft G-gauge trains and related Large Scale topics. There is no specific RMT 0/0-27 gauge section available.

With that said, the Aristocraft Trains Forum does give good insight to the world of G gauge trains that might be interesting to O gaugers to visit.

I appreciate and thank you for the suggestion.

I also appreciate the many fine comments, concerns and suggestions from all RMT fans on the OGR Forum.

John:

I would call Walter during normal business hours.  Everytime I have called Walter (during the daytime) he has taken the call or called me right back.

I found calling Walter was the easiest means for him to address my questions.

And my expereince has been that he has been very helpful.

(remind him who you are - you were referenced in one of his repsonses to another poster; he knows your forum handle and the fact that you are effectively his "backup warehouse" for RMT ore cars!)

I just received my second sale order. First order came in so nice I had to order more. I'm good on ore cars now (I think). This order also had 6 Peep passenger cars, very cool.

Gunrunner, I'm confident they will correct any problem you are having. I'm guessing they are very busy and just missed or misplaced something. I'm sure they highly value your business.

gunrunnerjohn... Hey #4...To what email address are you sending those emails?

If you need to 'talk' to RMT, send the email directly/only to. wmatuch@readymadetoys.com

or call me at RMT office 908.479.1279 during business hours..

There seem to be no emails from you in my RMT mailbox.

I do check my RMT emails at least 5 times a day.

I WILL try my best efforts to solve your problem but I need to actually receive the email so I can help.

Thanks.
