I have an MTH BNFS DAP GS-4. It is an PS2 engine with 5 vilt boards. At slow speeds (under 10 scale mph) its not running as smoothly as it should be. Best way I can decribe it is a little "jerky." It seems to run smooth when you speed it up. It is greased. Side rods are oiled. Any ideason what thepriblem could be? I am open to ideas....

Mechanical binding, side rod, linkage issues, dirty wheels and corroded pickup pins/rollers. G
If it has a wireless drawbar the connection at the tender might not be tight. I use a 4" (10cm) cable tie to cinch up the drawbar/tender receptacle to insure a snug reliable fit. Good luck with it.

This model was produced long before the "wireless drawbar".
Battery fully charged ?
I would check the tach sensor is centered on the tach strip and all the stripes are in good shape.

No wireless drawbar. I will check the tach strip and sensor.
I'm with George, I'd be looking for mechanical issues first.
I have the same engine and mine was doing the same thing. I ended up reloading the sound file and that solved the issue. Actually, I was unable to load it so Matt Jackson came over with his laptop and loaded it for me. Everything else I tried failed, but once the sound file was re-loaded..... instant success!
