Unfortunately the Reading T1 2100, which was owned by Ross Rowland, was caught in the roundhouse fire back in the 1980s. She will never run again, and is currently rusting away quietly at the B&O Museum in Baltimore. That's how and why Ross Rowland got the 614 Greenbrier.

Hagerstown was quite a place. I used to haul out of there for a distribution and there was a food place nearby that had trains on the walls. I cannot recall it's name or street anymore.

The Wild Mary did well and wont be forgotten anytime soon.

Thanks for bringing back some good memories! The museum's HO layout and I go WAY back to the days when the layout was built by the Gaithersburg (MD) Model Railroad Society. It was located in the Mills House, across from the Fire Museum and former B&O Main about a block down East Diamond Ave. from the train station and about a block down the other direction from the current location of Engine House Hobbies. For a more familiar landmark, it was about 2 doors down from the famous "Roy's Place" Restaurant. 

I remember that layout, from the beginning, with just a temporary oval of track running in a circle to the layout you see today. Just about my entire HO collection plied the rails on that layout, and most pieces have not seen a live track since the layout was torn down and moved to Hagerstown, about 8-10 years ago. I haven't seen the layout since it was in Gaithersburg, on the last day it was open to the public. The last time I ran a train on that layout was about a month before the last day. I think it would be safe to say that I'd still be in HO if that layout hadn't moved to Hagerstown. 

No, that was 2101. The roundhouse fire that damaged her occurred in Silver Grove, Kentucky.
