Greetings.

Firstly hello, I've just joined this forum as I thought you'd be able to help identify a train carriage I have found. I would be very grateful of the help

I bought it at a carboot sale as I remember the company Lima being acquired by Hornby about 10 years ago. I'll give you a few details and some pictures to help.

Its boxed and has Lima Scale O on the front. The carriage itself is darkish green with a silver roof and has the words "FREIN O.PR REGLUER FF SAB" accompanied by the numbers "518710-181677 A9"

Unfortunately it looks like someone has covered additional writing that is above the numbers (see photographs) so my internet searches haven't been very fruitful as I feel something is missing.

I know Lima made a small amount of Scale O so I'm hoping its worth a few quid. Does anyone have an idea of what I have?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to any comments

This is a later production 6601, and, if it is the correct box for it, that number [ or 316601 ] should appear on a box end.  The missing/obscured lettering is SNCF, in the slanted letters form;  even if the lettering were intact, this is not that unusual a car [ as Lima 0 ga cars go ] from a "collectability" standpoint, in my opinion.

This is not a scale model, but is a short, cheapened, inaccurate model of a Rivarossi car;  other than that, they're great !

Best regards, SZ
