The Crowning achievement on our display is the Milwaukee Road Billboard from Miller Engineering flush mounted center on the upper bridge.

We started out with a “Fit & Active” plastic canister which once contained 10, 2 quart powder lemonade packets. These are the generic brand powdered drink mixes: WalMart uses the same size for their “Great Value” brand.

We cut down the canister to the height we wanted; about a  ½” taller than the control module, leaving a tab that could be folded back and wedged into the Styrofoam bridge. We cut holes into the side for the power switch and function button. Then cut slots in the lid.

The extra space in the back of the box allowed us to fold up the excess portion of the ribbon cable and tuck it in the back of the box behind the control module.

A hint about canisters size; The generic brands seem to be a little larger than the “Crystal Light” canisters which are smaller and more oval shaped. But if the box is going to be placed in a visable area and used for a gauge smaller than O you may want to consider the smaller size. However things may get a little tight when you try to add the excess ribbon cable to the inside of the box.
