Something I bought over the weekend. A box of Trix HO 3 rail track. Something completely different.
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Trix also made the same track in 2 rail. I have several sections that came in an auction lot of miscellaneous track.
This thread got me thinking though. Any track collectors out there? I feel sometimes like I am from the various N, HO, O, and Standard Gauge track that takes up space in my shed.
I must be, I have a six-inch piece of Super O with a Lionel illuminated bumping post glued to it!
Marklin also offered "Scale Track" in the 1950's as an option to their 3-rail track. It featured stamped metal roadbed, inset plastic ties, and a metal stud in the ties replacing the center rail of earlier track. It was later replaced by their more common "M Track" which was shown in earlier photos. As you can see, this 50+ year old track looks great, even by modern standards.

IIRC one of the European manufacturers (Tri-Ang?) had a set back in the 1930s or 40s where the three rails were all electrically separate, and the set came with two engines, one with the left side wheels insulated, and one with the right side insulated. The idea was you could operate the two independently using two DC power controllers with each running rail connected to one power source, and the center rail the common.
I have quite a few beautiful Marklin 3 rail HO passenger cars (metal) that are very well detailed. Just have some of them displayed on the wall.
