LIONEL HAS JUST ANNOUNCED 30 MINUTES AGO THAT IT IS HOLDING AN AUCTION ON SATURDAY MARCH 23 AT THE RED CARPET EVENT.

AFTER ALL THE FESTIVITIES, MIKE REAGAN WILL BE AUCTION MASTER OFFERING AUCTION LOTS THAT INCLUDE - LIONEL ARCHIVES, PROTOTYPES AND ONE OF A KIND ITEMS. 

TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE AUCTION.

THE LIONEL GOODY BAG FOR CARD HOLDING ATTENDEE MEMBERS WILL HAVE UNIQUE COLLECTALBES TO BOOT - MUCH MORE THAN TOKEN GIFTS.

LIONEL HAS ADDED MORE THAN 230 SKU ITEMS AT GREAT PRICES IN ADDITION TO WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN ANNOUNCED AS DOOR BUSTERS!!!

COME ON DOWN AND WALK AN ACTUAL RED CARPET AT THIS GREAT EVENT.  TAKE A PICTURE WITH LENNY THE LION.  BRING YOUR CAMERA.  THIS IS AN EVENT TO BE REMEMBERED.

Why is Lionel going to auction off prototypes, archive items and one of a kinds? You would think that that kind of stuff would be held onto by the company and not have their history parted out! It would be different if it was warehouse finds that they came across but this doesn't sound like that.

If they are "scrapping" part of their history shame on them!

This Red Carpet event has been posted on the OGR forum board starting Jan 10,2013.  It was moved to the LCCA section by the Forum managers.  The intent was to invite LCCA & LRRC members from all over the country.  If you are not member now, you can join the LCCA at the door.  This auction is the new announcement based upon developments today.  There were numerous postings since January about this event and the upcoming good deals and surprises.

I hear you.  I wish they could have announced this earlier.  I hope those who want to attend can make it there in time.  Maybe some guys can get a few guys together and do a road trip.  Just like spring  break, back in the day.
