Need to take the body off the frame of the MTH dome car to get the truck out, but don't see which screws need to be removed. Do some of the screws hold the guts of the car in and shouldn't be taken out? Looks like the four corner step screws stay in?
Don't have an instruction sheet for these ... is there one on line somewhere?
Sorry for the dumb question; I don't want to screw them up.

In general, the screws that hold the body on to the frame on MTH trains have a different head than the ones that can be left alone. The ones to remove have a built in washer, they look like a WW1 helmet. Remove these screws and leave the others in place.
Would help to know model number.

If they are RailKing cars, it's the screws under the wheels unit (which you rotate to get to them). The easy-to-reach screws hold the seats/floor section. Then grasp the cars in both hands and rotate the ends in opposite directions to pop off the roof.
