How to turn off sound in K-line Golden State Alco AA Units

I recently purchased the K-line 21321C Golden State Alco AA set. They run great but have a very annoying sound system and I can find no on-off switch. Any ideas on how to turn the sound off? I am not a toy train tech, so I am hesitant to open it up and start messing around. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
