Well, while building an order I just crashed the site
Matt, I see nothing wrong. You can also call us at 516-378-9594 too
I need 1/48 scale figures. I feel the HUGE Figures will be to large for my layout.
Many of the Model Power figures are 1/43 so they WILL be too large for your layout if you're fussy about those things.
Charlie, I was getting an internal server error but it started working working again about 10 minutes later. Just waiting for the capitol authorization before I send the order
Thanks!
Charlie, just placed a big order of figures from you for my layout. I may have an overcrowding situation in town now!!!
Thanks for passing along the great deal.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff, on the way to you!
The price is good the selection enough, but the website gives me errors when I try to put more than three of them in my cart. I gave up after fussing with it a while.
Lee, we just tested it with 12 items and it works fine. You can try again if not give us a call at 516-378-9594 Charlie...
What was the error?
I tried with both Chrome and Explorer yesterday. I will try again today or tomorrow.
Thanks.
Edit: I just went back and the same thing happened. I tried with both my this computer (one year old Dell laptop, maintained by the It department of the company I own, and probably close to bulletproof, they'd see the boss has a good machine), and my wifes three-week old Dell mini-box desktop. both running Windows 7.
With Chrome on either machine, I can pick items (11 in one case) from the first model power people page and put them in my cart. I am selecting them without going to the individual items, clicked on the shopped cart symbol beanth each small icon of the item on page 1 of the 3. I then toggle at the bottom of the page to go to page 2. I get this. At this point, whatever I select to buy, again hitting the small shopping cart symbol on page 2, I get a long delay with a bar in the place the shopping cart was, and then the word ERROR there. I this point the site will not let me select any other page: I can't go back to page 1 or ahead to page 3 or to the home page or to the shopping cart of check out. I'm stuck.
With Explorer on either machine, it does the same thing, except when I say I want to go to page 2, it never leaves page 1: it just hangs up with Explorer saying it is waiting on the website.
I will try to call but frankly that is inconvenient today and it might not be 'til later in the week. Good luck with it.
... both running Windows 7.
...
That's the problem right there, Lee! Firefox/Safari on a Mac all the way!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist.
David
Lee,
In your Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options, in Internet Options Under the Security Tab, is your Security Level Set to High? This can cause PHP Issues on the Website. Lower this to Medium and give it a try.
I agree with Rocky, FireFox on Mac never fails
My wife's Apple is pretty good.
I don't know about Internet options, etc. I leave them as the IT guys at work set them, and they work (too well, I spent too much) with every other internet site I shop at (Amazon, American Excellence, BuffaloRoad, Diecastdirect, Mint Models, Model Expo, Modeltrainstuff, Patricks Trains, Walthers, etc.), so I would not tamper with them anyway.
tried to buy got SERVER ERROR
got back in and made my Order .... whew!!
difficult site.
We have Adam working on it to find the problem. Most orders are going thru though. In the meantime give us a call at 516-378-9594. Thanks!
What size are they ? O? HO?
O Rocky!
I still agree with Marty - I just can't see where I would put HUGE figures on a layout!!
I ordered 31 packages of figures from Charlie last week...I called and Chris took my order. Got them just a few days later!! What a bargain and great service!
Thanks,
Alan
I'm still looking for that Patricia Morrison figure to put in front of the Sisters of Mercy building,
We think the problem is solved on the web site.
Charlie,
The figures arrived today, extremely fast turn around time very pleased.
Thanks again for the great deal,
Jeff
Thanks, the website does work now. Ordered 18.
"People . . . people who need people . . . ."
Thanks Lee, your order is on the way!
My order arrived today. That was very fast service. Thank you
I have both 1/48 scale and 1/43 scale people for my layout. If I mix them all up in a box and dump them out on a table, it's very hard to tell which are 1/48 and which are 1/43.
Besides, real people come in all different sizes.
Thanks Ray!
They arrived today. All in good shape. Thank you!
Thanks Lee!
Among those I ordered are some of my favorite characters, including lady-with-the-blowing hair, clipboard-foreman, and roller-girl, who reminds me of the character in Boogie Nights. I have several of each on the layout.
I had forgotten how well-rendered these guys are. Here is the one I call Clark Gable with a mustache and 'kerchief and buttons on his suit. Quite nice in a figure just slightly over 1.5 inches high. Anyway, they filled two bins, as you can see below. I always try to keep 50 or so in every bin in my workshop and I was completely out of "big" people, by which I mean 1:43 scale - what I consider M.P. figures to be. They are mostly 1.5 inches or a bit taller - the convicts average about a scale 6' 2", and roller girl is a spectacular scale 6' 7" on her skates. At 1:48 they average over six feet tall but at 1:43 they are about, well average overall. I put 1:43 figures up near the edge of the layout and use the guys from Woodland Scenics which are generally a bit shorter and shinnier, farther back, for a bit of forced perspective. I'm really happy I ordered them.
Good luck and thanks.

Charlie, have you bought the part of Model Power that makes the N scale steamers as well? I know this is not O gauge, but nonetheless it is important.
If you have, what's the future plan?
Yes Don we did, here is the remaining inventory at closeout pricing. We brought them to York but they were "over shadowed"
Still give the free set of figures with 12 or more!
Don't forget you get FREE shipping by entering the code right now till next Friday!
I was ready to buy four packs of figures and found out that shipping was almost equal to the cost of the figures. These are lightweight items, it shouldn't cost $15 to ship them. A no-go.
I think the shipping is free if you enter the code.
You need to buy at least $100 worth to get that discount. Oh well, not in my budget.
