I was given a beautiful Weaver Milwaukee Road Little Joe (G1715LP) for Christmas.  Unfortunately, the engine was missing two parts and I was wondering if someone here could help me either find them or point me in the direction on a place where I can have the parts fabricated.  The unit is brass.  The pieces that are missing are the two covers on the top of the engine which cover the switches operating the engine.  I have attached a picture of the top of the engine (not mine) with the pieces on the unit.  I have also attached an image of mine with the pieces missing.  I would not even know where to begin to attempt to find the pieces and would appreciate any help that any help that members of this forum could provide.  I would be truly thankful for any assistance.  If you would prefer email contact, I can be reached at walldozer (at) aol.com.

I have this loco; almost sold it a while back; glad that I didn't.

Which helps you not at all.

eBay can be a source for detail parts; I like to search "brass" in the title only. Lots (of lots) to wade through - but that can be fun - you might run across a surprising find (I have) - like what you need - or nearly what you need, with mods.

The parts are relatively simple, and using styrene plus plastic cement plus patience you could make a decent pair, I would think. Painted black: brass, styrene - who can tell? Styrene is available at most hobby shops or from Evergreen online. Easy to work. Make one; throw that away and make a better one. "Model Railroading is Fun", remember? Take your time - you're not in a hurry and you're not going to hurt anything.

Search "locomotive detail parts" on the web.

But I'd try making them. You can brag about it later.
