Idea For El Steamer

Just thinking out loud. I know this idea is not authentic, but consider reworking the Rail King 0-4-0 Dockside into a New York City El steam locomotive. The K-Line Porter is a closer representation to monkey with, but the Dockside is a really good runner and it's built like a tank.

What are your thoughts?

Sounds like a neat idea. You could use the drive and scratch build a new super structure. Add a piece to lengthen the frame on the back and add a four wheel truck under the cab and coal box. It could be a neat 0-4-4 Forney type.

I would love an El Forney. I have thought about using a K-line porter for this if you cut down or replaced the cab.
