Interesting Video of the AT&SF Super Chief

That was neat.  Sure looks like a great way to travel back then. Maybe a silly question but does Amtrak have  different levels of service, i.e., 1st class, coach?  Just wondering if they have class of service even close to what the Chief had to offer.

Sorta,  For overnight trains they have coach and sleepers.  Sleepers is Amtrak's equivalent to 1st class.  But they don't like calling it that because it is considered elitist.

cool,  I was on that a few times,

with the talk of   UP, Santa Fe, etc,  having weak times,  maybe they should get back into passenger service, , give Amtrak  compo..of coarse Amtrak would fold,,,,
