Interior on new Lionel Baby Madison cars.

HI, I want to take the interior detail out of the newer Lionel baby madison cars to paint them. Are the wires that connect the lights to the trucks just a slip connection that can be slid out ( looks like it to me but I have to be sure) or are they soldered inside that insulation piece? You have to disconnect the wires to remove the seats. Maybe someone can help answer this queston. Thanks. Joe
