I have 4 Atlas O pratt truss bridges that I have taken the track off the bridge and replaced with GarGraves track. I do not like the look of the plastic Atlas track that was on the bridges. I want to lay the other 2 rails like on A real bridge I am going to use the rails from the Atlas track I took off of the bridges. The problem is I have A 5 1/2 FT. curved bridge and A 6 1/2 straight bridge that are connected with the Atlas bridges that I need to match the rail to the Atlas rail. I know GarGraves makes A 5 rail track but I already have extra ties added to the track that is already screwed to all of these bridges. The CO. I am going to order the rail from has 5 different sizes of rail and I need to know what to order. Can anyone help? Thank you Choo Choo Kenny

The 3-rail bridge using Code 215 rail; the 2-rail bridge uses Code 148 rail. Neither bridge has guard rails in place to keep derailed cars more or less lined up.
Matt 215 was not one of the sizes from the CO. I was going to buy the rail from. Do you have A suggestion on witch size rail would be close to the rail that comes on the Atlas bridge? Thanks Choo Choo Kenny
If you're using Gargraves track on an Atlas bridge, the rail height is actually also code 215. The trick is to shave out the webbing that holds the rail to the ties, then use Atlas regular joiners to connect standard Atlas 3-rail rail to the Gargraves rail. The rails that come with the Atlas Pratt Truss Bridge are the same as the ones used in their flex track. Code 215 rail isn't that readily available from most sources, but I think Llagas Creek sells it for outdoor railroads. I'm not sure if it matches the profile of O gauge code 215 track, though.
Thank you Matt for the info. I am disabled and I try to save money whenever I can. The CO. I was looking at had 100 FT. of rail for $44.00 VS $10.00 + for each section of the Atlas flex track. I guess I will have to put off doing the extra rail until I get the money. Take Care Choo Choo Kenny
I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do, but if you want to install guard rails on your bridges, Gargraves sells their track without the web that goes in the ties; i.e. the rail will sit flat on their ties. Identical profile and height as regular GG track, but it sits on top of the ties.
You can secure the guard rails with glue or O scale spikes (which is what I used).
Good luck with your project.
Pingman thank you very much that is exactly what I am trying to do. I will give Steve A call in the morning. Take care Choo Choo Kenny
