A friend ask me to look at replacing a not working LED Ditch light on his Legacy Dash 9.  After losing at how they are installed, they seem to be glued in place and the only way to repair would be to remove the small plastic frame holding the LED.  I do not think that could be done without destroying the housing.   He had gotten a replacement LED from Lionel but it is just a basic LED with leads.

If anyone has replaced one, I would love to hear how you did it.

If the ditch light is the style that is mounted on top of the front platform I've had success wiggling the plastic housing loose to expose the led board with wires (see pic of part below).  Lionel used a soft set glue on those.  I have not attempt this on Dash-9 with ditch lights below the front platform.
