I understand that the new Base3 is moving to a Cab3 "mobile app" but from what I've read the Cab2 is supposed to work with the Base3. Going on this assumption, the Base3 does not appear to have an external antenna to support connection to Cab2 remotes. I for one have seen connection difficulties at times and have examined ways to extend the range of the Base2 antenna.
What's the story on the Base3? Anyone have any clues? @Dave?

This would be a question for @Dave Olson. I don't see one in the pictures.
This was covered in Dave's videos. The Base 3 has an internal antenna integral to one of the circuit boards. The reason given in the video is the performance is the same or better than an external antenna would provide. It does simplify manufacturing for Lionel. When we get our Base 3's we will see for ourselves how they perform with just the internal antenna.
