This is a small update on my post about 4-6 weeks ago.

happy to say, the bench work and track is down.   A big shout out to the suggestion about adding the 'wye track'

The layout now has a pretty good lead into the yard verses the original layout design.  Of course, it doesn't always go down according to paper, as you see the layout go down, you say " hey I have room to do this, and this..."

All in in all I'm very happy with it. Sadly, I powered it up with just one lionchief set ( Thomas won! )  he didn't get to far before stopping.  Thomas needs some oiling I think, James came out of the box and proved to be a winner, and also showed me I need to clean the track.  Lots of dead spots from the sitting in a box.  Loose connections from the FT being taken apart, put together etc, over the past 4 years.  So, a good cleaning, tighten and add more drops, some oiling, Thomas should work.

Homesote or equivalent will go on top next, then wiring is my next struggle, but that is for another time.   I have to leave the layout alone for the next few weeks anyways.

Hopefully the the pics come through.  Let me know what you think!
