At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

A few weeks ago I posted the photo below. It was taken by my daughter in St Albans WV at the request of my Grand Daughter. She asked my daughter to take the photo because she said 'those trains aren't normal'......BNSF in WV that is.....

And so I started looking for a suitable BNSF loco so when she visits she could run it!

BNSF1

So I hope she likes it.....I have a feeling I will be buying more trains for HER......yea....for her.....

WbB unit that just came in the mail today. A very nice unit that will get my treatment at some date.

Widen the fuel tank, some handrail mods and detail paint to make it even better. Nice loco for October!!!

Dave - I can definitely relate.  I was 100% UP and fallen flags of UP.  But the closest major RR mainline is the BNSF.  So my son and grandsons all see BNSF all day every day and have fallen in love with the pumpkins.  They finally wore me down to where I now have as many BNSF and their fallen flags as I do UP.  And that is my story and I am going to stick with it.

She may very well notice!!!!!!

She is very detail oriented.  At a train show one kid called a hopper a 'coal car' she looked at him and said 'it's a hopper'........

Another time while playing at a Brio wooden train display a kid said he was filling his steam engine at a water tower with 'gasoline!!

Again she said 'your engine takes water not gasoline'!!!

No doubt she's Grandpa's girl!!!

Some years ago when it was still just "Santa Fe" I saw their diesels at the Lambert's Point roundhouse here in Norfolk on several occasions. Maybe they were borrowed or leased, or in some kind of run-through arrangement from the Midwest. Goes to show you that you can do just about anything on your model RR and the real RR's do the same thing.
