IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!! Share your railroad's team track photos here!
Team tracks are a vital part of day to day operations on real railroads. Practically every type of freight car can be on/off loaded on team tracks. Some passenger train head end equipment and MOW equipment can also be on off loaded on team tracks.
This week on the Free State Junction Railways's Mountain Division team track located in Loudanlil the Ma & Pa SW 1 has just spotted a Maryland and Pennsylvania 34 four ft. boxcar loaded with less than car load freight. A red Ford pick up from Jakes's Hauling Service pulls through the grade crossing and backs up alongside this short boxcar so the transfer of goods can begin. In real life ... These short Ma & Pa boxcars could not be interchanged with other railroads. They were only good to haul freight on the the Ma & Pa between York, Pa. and Baltimore,Md. In my fantasy world ... Since the Ma & Pa owns a portion of the FSJR the car is permitted on the FSJR rails.
Lets see what's happening on your railroad's team tracks. Photos from all layouts regardless of size or detail are welcome!! Photos of real life railroad team track operations are always welcome too!!
Have a wonderfully fun and creative week!! See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!
