JAK makes both the black anodized and brushed aluminum finish. Aside from appearance is there any advantage to one over the other, like keeping clean etc?
Are there some locomotives which require the all-rollers pickup equipped option of the higher priced roller sets?

The anodize coating is an anti-corrosion finish, and in this application, is probably applied just for looks. There is no advantage to having the anodized version, unless it is being used in a very damp environment.
In locomotives with 2 pickups, they are wired together internally, so there is no need for both sets of rollers to be equipped with 3rd rail pickups that I am aware of.
