Good Evening.
Today the Joliet & Western laid their 700 foot of FasTrack.
But management and works did not pause to celebrate as more local siding footage was added into the city, passenger station and oil field/ tank car siding.
Meanwhile, the city center has many real estate development opportunities.

700 feet! I get tired just thinking of that. Even counting all my 'Streets "track" too, I only have a bit over 500 feet. Fastrack was a good choice for you: I shudder to think about ballasting 700 feet of Atlas, for instance. Ugh!

The 700 feet made me pause as well. I have three 201 foot mainlines, but have never counted all the yard tracks and sidings, yard lead and etc. And to your point Lee, mine is all Atlas that has to be ballasted. It makes me tired just thinking about it.
