I found one of the end stirrups from one of my K-line 742 billboard reefers next to my track. How it was broken is a mystery to me. I am wondering if anyone knows of parts seller I can buy a replacement part? The stirrup is in two pieces so it would be somewhat daunting to try to glue such a small part together before reattaching it to the reefer frame. Finding a aftermarket exact match would be impossible.

Try Brasseur electric trains they are on of the few who have remaining Kline part inventory. They are forum sponsor .
Jeff, Have you considered fabricating one? A piece of thin wire and two needle nose pliers are all you need. Once you're happy with the step, heat it over a gas stove burner or cigarette lighter or the barbeque and insert it. Go ahead, give it a try. John in Illinois
RATTLER21, Fabrication is a last resort. It is very difficult to make an exact copy. Jeff
For those how have experienced a similar stirrup failure, Grandt Line (#90) is a perfect replacement for these. They are an exact fit for existing holes. You will need to change-out all six as the Grandt Line are thinner. These are made of nylon like plastic and are unbreakable.
