My new K-Line milk unloading car arrived. I loaded the cans but when I pressed the Uncouple button on my operating track it unloaded ALL the cans instead of unloading one can per push of the button. Not only that but it continued to the unloading sequent until I shut off the track power. I tried it on both an operating section and an uncoupling section and got the same results both times. Any idea how to get this thing to work right??

There is a micro-switch inside that senses when the car has made a complete cycle. It sounds like that switch is either not working or is not adjusted correctly. You'll have to pop the top off, which if you own one of these, you must have done already!
Yep, that was the problem. I stuck a small strip of adhesive foam on the arm that activates the switch and that fixed it. Also found a LCCA article on how to get the milk cans to properly eject onto the depot conveyor belt. Once I fix that it should be perfect. Have to say the operation is way smoother than the Lionel milk can car. Reminds me of my MTH reefer car. I really think Lionel should reissue these, perhaps with Legacy/TMCC operation. The car/depot combo is pretty neat and a great addition to the layout.
The permanent fix is usually to bend the arm slightly.
That car does work with the K-Line remote if you have one.

I had the same problem with mine and had to "close the gap" between the limit switch and the returning milk man.
Since I have had to "tweak" this set up to the point of frustration.....any additional info would be most welcome.
Would you be able to post the LCCA article you mentioned in your post?
Thanks

Hoping to make the platform mods today.

I'm sure you are aware, but if not..........you will notice the very small series of switches on the bottom of the car.
A B C ....you set these in correspondence to your chosen number.
The K Line remote matches it and is so very simple to do.
Works great too!
I also have 3 K Line dump cars which are also like the milk car and can unload anywhere on the layout you choose using the remote.
You may be able to find a remote on E *** if interested.
They are/were inexpensive.
