The 6-84942 Atlantic E6 showed up today from Lionel Service; it was fixed and returned in pristine condition (no damage) and with all original packing and has been running with no issues.  Thanks to techs TAB and J.

On Feb 4, it was running great till it stopped (where have I heard this before) and the green light on the CW80 transformer started blinking.  Took all other cars and tender off the track and the E6 still tripped the circuit breaker.  The Tech fixed a short in the trucks (didn't spec which one); however, these where one of those techs where after a repair, you can't tell where the wrench was put - rare talent in the repair world these days.  Even wrote a 'Thank You' on my repair letter.   Also replaced both tires.

On another note, after inspecting to make sure all screws were tight, I noticed the closeness of the rear truck ground wire to the axle and wheel; mine was very close to the wheel - a hair away; might want to check yours.  I am trying to figure out a way to secure the wire away from the axle and wheel - not much free space there; any advice would be appreciated.  See picture:

Thanks Carl; as delivered from the factory, it was pointing at the 10 o'clock position and that put it a hair away from the axle and pushed the wire a hair from the wheel; moved it to the 12 position but not much better; will have to figure a way to nail it down to the truck to give it some clearance.  Maybe the 3 o'clock position if the wire is long enough.
