I posted this in 3-rail O gauge as that is my question. Did, or does, L.G.B. make 3-rail O gauge model trains?? And if so are they current or pre/postwar?

I used to have L.G.B. trains, but they were all two rail DC. I think L.G.B. went out of business a few years ago. I have never seen any three rail L.G.B. I think, if you are looking for prewar, you should be checking Marklin, not L.G.B. L.G.B. only started making G scale trains in 1968.
LGB Has always been G. LGB is coming back. I think Marklin owns it now. I have a local "chain store", once a MAJOR LGB dealer, went to Piko. Last I was in the store, a few months ago, it is now about 50/50 Piko and LGB. Nice to see LGB coming back. I've got a few pieces - LGB was the best of the best in my book...hope the new still is.
LGB is gone and they aren't coming back. Not the LGB of Germany that is. All LGB now will be either Hungarian or Chinese made. I don't see much of any American outline being released by LGB/ Marklin. Most all LGB was of a weird scale as in all over the place.
For great looking and operating large scale 1:29 trains seek out USA Train or Accucraft/ AML.
The best large scale trains are the 1:32 line made by MTH as have PS2/3, great detail and the ONLY large scale manufacturer to use metal gears throughout the entire locomotive lineup.
Okay. That is what I thought. Someone was telling me that had a box full of O gauge LGB trains. I called them back to clarify and based on his description, the are G.
