Just a quick clip I made to see how my trains look from a mountaintop perspective.

Nice layout. I like the background. That outside loop is verrrrry close to the edge of the table.
I like your layout, nice job. Is there going to be a Ferry?
Cool
I love the way your corner mountain/tunnel "blends" into your backdrops

Eddie, you are right. Fortunately I have no trains fall from the edge. I plan on adding a couple of display shelves under closest edges to widen bench work a bit. And a facia board will give the edges more protection as well. Original track plan wasn't so edgy but the curves grew as I upgraded to Premier.
Be extra carful, one of my K-line Berkshires hit the ground and it took almost a year to repair. Don

Thanks for the compliments. No ferry planned since that was before there were trains crossing the Potomac. Adding a river floor under the bridges is my next scenery project. There will be a canoe or 2 when the river is detailed.
Almost Heaven, West Virginia. As a former full time resident and current part time resident of the Mountain State I can truly say I wish that was my layout. Great job. I have spent a great deal of time cycling on the C & O Canal from Cumberland, Maryland all the way to Washington D.C. and have passed through the gap at Harpers Ferry, West Virgina countless times. Your scenery backdrop is dead on. Photographs you took yourself?
Mountaineers are always Free.
How did you do your backdrops?
Also next time perhaps you will take us on a video tour of the town.

Its compliments from modelers who have been to Harper's Ferry that I covet the most. Much thanks. Check out my previous videos on Youtube for the complete story on my backdrops and scenery. But in a nutshell, yeah, I took the photos while in Harper's Ferry. Cropped them then had them printed 36" high by 8-10' @ Kinkos. Significantly cheaper than commercial backdrops and exactly the scenes I wanted.
I've ridden the Canal from Harpers down to DC. Will ride portion to Cumberland soon.
