Make sure you keep your cell phone handy just in case things derail! 😎 Otherwise go for it. 👊🏻
What could POSSIBLY go wrong!?!?!? Please take videos ...

A former supervisor of mine said they attached a hook to another employee’s belt and lifted him up at the power station. The guy’s belt broke...
Check this out looks safer
Sounds safer than a board on the back of a chair with your wife sitting on the chair John!
You saw my creation already.

Bob, these commercial products lack the creativity of yours! Good old American ingenuity is what I say! 🤪
Thanks for all of the encouragement guys!
Mark, I'll be sure to wear a nice wide belt with a good buckle - thanks for the tip.
Bob, you have a good memory - maybe that is why Mrs. 'Ski is not discouraging this purchase?
George, I asked Mrs. 'Ski if she would video the trial run. Seems that she wants nothing to do with this product test.
Just where the **** is Pittsburgh, China?
This would be alot safer with a yellow flashing light.
Take video!!!!
Definitely need video haha for science!
I'm with Bill, WE HAVE TO HAVE A VIDEO OF THE MAIDEN VOYAGE OF THIS VENTURE!
Use a drone to do all the work!!! If they can go down to the Titanic and pick up a dinner plate without breaking it you should be able to do whatever it is you want with a small drone.
Been there, done this, got the t-shirt. Don't over-think this and spend money on some weird junk platform doo-dad. Just do what all the grocery stores do and buy a little giant step ladder from a respected industrial supply house https://www.globalindustrial.c...m-step-ladder-3-step
Don't cheap-out. This is not the place to save money, right? The 3-step little giant is heavy and sturdy. You can stand on the top step, reach your full length and safely get to just about anything on the layout.
Step ladders are not all the same. Not even close. Most of what the big box stores sell is laterally unsafe and not rated for..ahem..the weight it must bear. This step ladder has the right stuff. I haven't tried the 4-step version. But the 3-step has been my friend since the day I started my benchwork.

I'm using this one, and it works very well. It handles my 175# just fine.
