As I build my new layout, I plan to integrate Lionel's Layout Control System (LCS). With the new Base3 finally shipping out this month, I think that the LCS I-Pad App needs a major update. It's been quite a while (since 2016!). Here's what I want for an updated LCS App:

-4-Digit Addressing with Base3

-Addressing function on app needs to have a drop-down menu instead of just tapping the number buttons multiple times

-Add new track pieces: all straight track lengths, curved radii, switch radii, and crossovers

-Add quilling whistle/horn

-Add single-hit bell

If anyone has any other ideas for the LCS App, let me know in the comments. Hopefully Lionel will consider getting their LCS App updated for use with the Base3.

Perhaps merge it into the Cab3 app or the other way around instead of having the apps compete for the developers attention this way the updates come more often...

Not really a good idea, the LCS app concentrates on layout operation, switches, accessories, etc, the CAB3 is all about running trains.  They are very different applications.

Got to do something...
~8 years without an update is exactly why people have a lot of reservation about Cab3

BINGO!  I've been wanting them to fix the bug with the DZ-2500 switch routes for years, I've pretty much given up.  LCS started with such a fanfare, then it seems it was forgotten.  You have exactly identified my reservation with the whole idea of using 3rd party smart devices for our remotes!
